Top dermatologists and scientists share three tips to get a glowing, well-hydrated complexion.

Moisturise frequently

Moisturisers help improve you skin’s ability to keep pollution out and water in. A hydrated skin is a healthy skin. A dehydrated skin is prone to pore clogging, blotches, irritation and discomfort. If you only have the time and inclination to moisturise once a day, make sure you do so after your bath, immediately after you dry yourself with a towel. If you can do more often, even better.

Spice it up with key botanical ingredients

By switching to cleansers and moisturisers containing certain key botanicals, your skin will appreciate it greatly. The top five botanical ingredients that get the nod from doctors because of their anti-inflammatory properties include: oatmeal, cocoa butter, chamomile, aloe vera, and turmeric specially for people with sensitive skins.

Supplement your Skin with the right Vitamins

Vitamins A, B, C and E play a very important role in the mix for a healthy skin. These antioxidant vitamins are naturally present in our skin, but they need constant replenishment to fight the effects of external agents such as ultra violet light, smoke, pollution and the day to day exposure to the elements.

Vitamins have diverse biochemical functions to help your skin. Vitamin A has hormone-like functions of cell and tissue growth. It builds and protects the all important collagen in your skin. Vitamin B reduces inflammation, water loss and uneven pigmentation. Vitamin C acts as an antioxidant and protects against UV light and vitamin E is also and antioxidant and emollient that fights inflammation.
